What Crane Training does

FAQ

What is Crane Training?

Crane Training (Kure-Tore) is a free 3D claw machine you can practise on right away. Before you go to the arcade, learn the arm motion, the coast and the operator settings, and train how to pick a machine and when to quit. All prizes are virtual; there are no payments and no shipping. Made by Nyanko-sensei of YouTool, so you can learn by doing at home before spending at the arcade.

How can I improve when I cannot win a prize?

Check the claw and prize from the front and side. After each play, look at where the claw touched and which way the prize moved. Practise changing your aim without spending money in Crane Training.

Is there a guaranteed way to win?

No method wins on every machine. Claw power, prize shape and placement change the outcome. Crane Training is a simulator for practising aim and deciding when to stop; results at an arcade can differ.

Can children play?

Yes. Children can practise without spending money. Hold →, then ↑, releasing each at your target. Drag the scene to inspect either side. Read any difficult parts together with an adult.

How do I play?

Tap a machine to softly pulse the round → button. Hold it to move right, then release to stop. Next, ↑ gently pulses: hold it to move deeper and release to lower the claw automatically. The first press starts one play. Drag the scene to inspect from either side. Use the wheel or pinch to zoom, and right-drag or two fingers to pan. On a keyboard, hold Up Arrow to move deeper and Right Arrow to move right. Space operates the blinking button.

Are the two machines shared with everyone?

Yes. Everyone sees the same two machines, live. One person plays a machine at a time; others watch. Each machine shows plays since the last win. A machine someone just gave up on can be the one to take (textbook chapter 6). If you are offline, you can still practise solo.

What is in the textbook?

Read cards about choosing a machine, aiming, bridge techniques and when to stop. Pick a topic, then try what you have learned on a practice machine.

What do the records show?

Win rate, average plays to win, precision (stop error in mm), efficiency per play, quit judgement, budget compliance, days practised, and an overall score across three axes: skill, judgement and discipline. Records stay on your device and can be copied out to keep.

What are the prizes?

Practise with plush toys and boxes for the bridge machine. Prizes stay on screen; there are no physical prizes or shipping.

What can I configure?

You can change sound effects, study mode, your practice budget and the number of claws. Switch between front and side views with the camera button during play. Basic settings cover language, text size and appearance.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Free, no sign-up. Settings and records stay on your device, and everything works without an account. Ads are limited to a small banner at the bottom and a full-screen ad after a period of inactivity.
